Immersive Storytelling

Escaperoom-style game made to show game-development skills and tell a story. Environmental and poem-style storytelling tell the tale of a man haunted by the loss of his younger brother years ago when playing hide and seek, and is now trying to find him back. The story covers themes of grief, guilt, innocence and self forgiveness.

This game was developed using the Unity game engine.

Design Process

I wanted to use realistic PBR textures, because I had never used them and wanted the game to feel eery and akin to a found footage film.

This project taught me alot about types of storytelling, sound design, environmental design and interaction design. The game was made on a short timeframe of 4 weeks, so it was important for me to learn how to plan the scale of the game aswell.
